Who Is Act4Me?

Act4Me is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non profit organization established in 2009 Miami-Dade County, Florida, helping local children with neurological and/or genetic disorders, resulting in developmental delays, get the therapy they need. Act4Me has recently expanded its geographic reach to include both Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Our belief is that every child deserves the right to progress to his or her highest potential, and should not be limited by the lack of or inadequate healthcare coverage to receive the therapies they need.

Our mission is: To provide funding to children with neurological disabilities and/or genetic disorders for vital therapies, allowing them to reach their highest potential and have a better life.

We work to improve the life of families ready to do anything and everything for their child, living through the agony of being unable to provide their loved one with all of the necessary care. Families of children with special needs will be able to seek assistance from our organization by either: applying for a grant for Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy, that will pay a portion of, or supplement their current care (the grant will be payable directly to the child’s provider) or apply for a grant for therapy supplies to support their home therapy needs.
